Le voici aujourd&#8217;hui directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral ou plut\u00f4t <em>&#8220;Chief Executive Officer&#8221;<\/em> \u00a0de la nouvelle marque &#8220;hautes performances&#8221; de Volvo&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1997\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/thomas_ingenlath_0051.jpg\" alt=\"thomas_ingenlath_005\" width=\"5472\" height=\"3648\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Pour sa premi\u00e8re europ\u00e9enne, la division Polestar a choisi le salon de Gen\u00e8ve en exposant deux coup\u00e9s Polestar l\u00e0 o\u00f9 d&#8217;autres constructeurs exposaient sur la m\u00eame superficie de stand toute une gamme : le ton est donn\u00e9, Polestar m\u00e9rite de l&#8217;espace et joue la carte du tr\u00e8s haut de gamme.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1987\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/11.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Le coup d&#8217;envoi de cette <strong>naissance remonte au 17 octobre 2017<\/strong>, lorsque Polestar est devenue une nouvelle marque de voitures hybrides \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 hautes performance du\u00a0groupe Volvo Car Group. Ainsi promue et d\u00e9voil\u00e9e, cette nouvelle entit\u00e9 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera de synergies technologiques et d&#8217;ing\u00e9nierie sp\u00e9cifiques avec Volvo Cars et pourra compter sur de v\u00e9ritables \u00e9conomies d&#8217;\u00e9chelle gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa connexion avec Volvo. Il est vrai que le nom de Polestar n&#8217;est pas inconnu des fid\u00e8les de Volvo puisque cette division produit \u00e9galement les voitures S60 et V60 Polestar de 367 ch.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1995\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/thomas_ingenlath1_171017.jpg\" alt=\"thomas_ingenlath1_171017\" width=\"5219\" height=\"3339\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mais ici, il n&#8217;est plus question d&#8217;\u00e9volutions de mod\u00e8les Volvo mais bien de la production d&#8217;une nouvelle marque d\u00e9di\u00e9e aux v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques ou hybrides \u00e9lectriques de hautes performances. <strong>Une marque dirig\u00e9e par un&#8230; designer :\u00a0Thomas Ingenlath<\/strong>, ci-dessus.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1983\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/press_release_01.jpg\" alt=\"press_release_01\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Le premier mod\u00e8le qui sera commercialis\u00e9 sous la marque Polestar &#8211; tout naturellement d\u00e9nomm\u00e9 Polestar 1 &#8211; est esth\u00e9tiquement <strong>directement issu du concept-car Volvo Coup\u00e9 de 2013<\/strong> (ci-dessous). Vous le constaterez par vous-m\u00eame en observant les deux vues de 3\/4 AV. Le logo Volvo a bien s\u00fbr disparu, comme le logo Citro\u00ebn a disparu des mod\u00e8les de la marque DS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1993\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/51.jpeg\" alt=\"5\" width=\"1350\" height=\"712\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Le concept-car de 2013 faisait quant \u00e0 lui clairement <strong>r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au coup\u00e9 P 1800<\/strong> comme l&#8217;atteste le croquis ci-dessous.\u00a0Simon Templar &#8211; alias Le Saint- se reconna\u00eetra-t-il dans la Polestar 1 ?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1990\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/6.jpeg\" alt=\"6\" width=\"1350\" height=\"900\" \/>Mais \u00e9voquons un peu technique : le coup\u00e9 Polestar 1 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie de technologies de fabrication tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes de celles des Volvo. Ainsi, <strong>sa structure et la carrosserie font appel \u00e0 des composants de plastique renforc\u00e9 de fibres de carbone<\/strong> &#8211; le PRFC &#8211; que BMW (entre-autre) utilise largement pour ses BMW i mais \u00e9galement pour ses nouvelles berlines S\u00e9rie 7 et S\u00e9rie 5.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1991\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/4.png\" alt=\"4\" width=\"1610\" height=\"1214\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Techniquement, le coup\u00e9 GT Polestar 1 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie du moteur quatre cylindres 2 litres avec compresseur et turbo de 382 ch. Il est aid\u00e9 par deux machines \u00e9lectriques situ\u00e9es sur le train arri\u00e8re d\u00e9livrant une <strong>puissance totale de 600 ch<\/strong> et un couple de 1000 mkg. L&#8217;autonomie en 100% \u00e9lectrique est de\u00a0150 km.\u00a0Deux packs batteries de 34kWh sont log\u00e9s dans la console et au-dessus du train arri\u00e8re (ci-dessous)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1992\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/20180306_1247411.jpg\" alt=\"20180306_124741\" width=\"4128\" height=\"2322\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Polestar a annonc\u00e9 que la construction de son nouveau centre de production a d\u00e9but\u00e9 \u00e0 Chengdu, en Chine. C&#8217;est ici, dans ce site encore virtuel, que la <strong>premi\u00e8re Polestar 1 sera fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 la mi-2019<\/strong>.\u00a0La division de Volvo vise \u00e0 terme une <strong>production de 500 unit\u00e9s annuelles<\/strong> au maximum, <strong>soit \u00e0 peine 40 par mois<\/strong>. De la haute couture qui s&#8217;explique notamment par la technique de fabrication d&#8217;une partie des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la carrosserie en mat\u00e9riaux composites. Le prix devrait \u00eatre en rapport (plus de 100.000 euros ?) mais Polestar va proposer un syst\u00e8me de location \u00e9tal\u00e9e sur deux \u00e0 trois ans avec des services de hautes vol\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1986\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/polestar_production_centre_001.jpg\" alt=\"polestar_production_centre_001\" width=\"5000\" height=\"2392\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Le centre de production (ci-dessus) devrait \u00eatre achev\u00e9 d&#8217;ici la mi-2018<\/strong> pour \u00eatre pr\u00eat \u00e0 commencer l&#8217;installation de l&#8217;outillage et les essais de pr\u00e9-production &#8211; un plan de construction agressif et stimulant de neuf mois.\u00a0Ce centre a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u en collaboration avec l&#8217;architecte norv\u00e9gien Sn\u00f8hetta et l&#8217;une de ses fa\u00e7ades ondule pour casser l&#8217;agressivit\u00e9 et le classicisme de ce type de b\u00e2timent. Sans tenir compte de l&#8217;\u00e9chelle, on peut lui trouver un air de ressemblance avec le petit centre de production et de recherches de McLaren !<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1982\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/180112_polestar_side_02.jpg\" alt=\"180112_polestar_side_02\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Et pour diriger cette nouvelle structure et nouvelle marque, il a \u00e9galement fallu construire un tout <strong>nouveau si\u00e8ge social<\/strong> (ci-dessus).\u00a0<em>&#8220;Le nouveau si\u00e8ge de Polestar sera le c\u0153ur et la maison de notre \u00e9quipe en pleine croissance&#8221;<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Thomas Ingenlath, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Polestar. <em>&#8220;C&#8217;est une traduction architecturale de ce que notre marque repr\u00e9sente &#8211; elle est pure et sans compromis&#8221;<\/em>. For example, its structure and bodywork use carbon fibre reinforced plastic components &#8211; CFRP &#8211; which BMW (among other things) uses extensively for its BMW i, but also for its new 7 Series and 5 Series sedans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1991\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/4.png\" alt=\"4\" width=\"1610\" height=\"1214\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Technically, the GT Polestar 1 coup\u00e9 benefits from the 2-litre four-cylinder engine with 382 hp compressor and turbocharger. It is assisted by two electric machines located on the rear axle delivering a total power of 600 chet and a torque of 1000 mkg. The 100% electric range is 150 km. Two 34kWh battery packs are housed in the console and above the rear axle (below)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1992\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/20180306_1247411.jpg\" alt=\"20180306_124741\" width=\"4128\" height=\"2322\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Polestar has announced that construction of its new production center has begun in Chengdu, China. It is here, in this still virtual site, that the first Polestar 1 will be manufactured in mid-2019. Volvo&#8217;s division ultimately aims to produce a maximum of 500 annual units, or just 40 per month. High fashion, which can be explained in particular by the technique used to manufacture some of the bodywork elements made of composite materials. The price should be in proportion (more than 100,000 euros ?) but Polestar will offer a rental system spread over two to three years with high quality services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1986\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/polestar_production_centre_001.jpg\" alt=\"polestar_production_centre_001\" width=\"5000\" height=\"2392\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The production centre (above) is expected to be completed by mid-2018 to be ready to begin tooling installation and pre-production testing &#8211; an aggressive and challenging nine-month construction plan. This centre was designed in collaboration with the Norwegian architect Sn\u00f8hetta and one of his undulating facades to break the aggressiveness and classicism of this type of building. Regardless of the scale, it may look similar to the small production and research centre in McLaren !<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1982\" src=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/03\/180112_polestar_side_02.jpg\" alt=\"180112_polestar_side_02\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">And to manage this new structure and brand, it was also necessary to build a brand new head office (above). <em>&#8220;Polestar&#8217;s new headquarters will be the heart and home of our growing team,&#8221;<\/em> said Thomas Ingenlath, General Manager of Polestar. It is an architectural translation of what our brand represents &#8211; it is pure and uncompromising. Located close to the parent company, this new headquarters has three levels and offers 3,800 square meters of office and development space for 200 employees, as well as exhibition areas.
