In terms of concept cars, it was a fertile year with the small Wind roadster and the Fluence coup\u00e9. These concept cars undergo a thorough design process, which includes a 1:1 scale model produced in plaster in Italy by G-Studio. In the midst of these beautiful projects, there is one that is slightly more voluminous: the Radiance. A whole era of intensive creativity in one photo montage! Until 2002, it was known as Renault V\u00e9hicules Industriels, a branch of the Renault group which gradually became part of Volvo, until 2012 when Renault Truck was 100% owned by Volvo. Not to mention the radiator grille, which fades away at the top under the smooth bonnet extended by a huge windscreen. The roof is made of smoked glass. The aim is to create a serene environment that hides the complexity of the technology behind a certain simplicity of design. With Talisman in 2001, Patrick le Qu\u00e9ment spoke of &#8216;simplexity&#8217;. Although the Radiance was partly produced by G-Studio, it should be remembered that it was Renault which, at the end of the 1980s, produced its own in-house model of the Renault Magnum, whose final design was by Marcello Gandini. It was really impressive to find ourselves at the turn of a &#8216;screen panel&#8217; in the workshop, discovering a FR1 coach or a Magnum truck cab!
