La voici d\u00e9crypt\u00e9e c\u00f4t\u00e9 design ext\u00e9rieur par son designer, Pierre Sabas. O\u00f9 il est question d&#8217;une maquette Vsion n\u00e9e bien avant l&#8217;avance de phase du projet&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Pour Pierre Sabas, le but \u00e9tait bien s\u00fbr de <em>\u00ab capitaliser sur les atouts de la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, de ce qui a fait son charme. On a apport\u00e9 de la maturit\u00e9, plus de modernit\u00e9 et une meilleure qualit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue. C\u2019\u00e9tait \u00e0 la fois un travail stylistique et technique.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>La nouvelle plateforme vous a aid\u00e9 dans ce travail\u00a0?<br \/>\n<\/strong>P.S.\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Oui, dans ses proportions, la voiture est un peu diff\u00e9rente dans le sens o\u00f9 la cabine est recul\u00e9e, le porte-\u00e0-faux avant est plus court \u00e0 l\u2019inverse du porte-\u00e0-faux arri\u00e8re. Les lignes sont globalement plus tendues donnant une voiture plus finie, plus l\u00e9g\u00e8re. On cherche la continuit\u00e9 des lignes, une carre qui part du capot jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re. La face avant exprime plus de largeur et visuellement la Clio V est mieux assise avec un caract\u00e8re plus affirm\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>De quand datent vos premiers dessins sur ce projet\u00a0?<br \/>\n<\/strong>P.S.\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0J\u2019ai sorti mes premiers dessins en 2015 et \u00e0 la mi-2017, le design \u00e9tait termin\u00e9 pour laisser place \u00e0 l\u2019industrialisation.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/05.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7358 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/05.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"992\" height=\"475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/05.png 992w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/05-300x144.png 300w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/05-768x368.png 768w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/05-370x177.png 370w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 992px) 100vw, 992px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Comme toujours, il y a eu un concours entre designers\u00a0?<br \/>\n<\/strong>P.S.\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0En fait nous avons d\u2019abord travaill\u00e9 au design sur ce qu\u2019on appelle une maquette \u00ab\u00a0Vision\u00a0\u00bb qui \u00e9tait une Clio id\u00e9ale, avec des proportions, un esprit et avec peu de contraintes techniques pour promouvoir notre vision de la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Mais pas forc\u00e9ment et uniquement en termes de style. Souvent, ce sont plut\u00f4t des avanc\u00e9es sur des points techniques d\u2019un projet qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient \u00e0 un autre.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maintenant que la berline est termin\u00e9e, vous allez travailler sur la silhouette break\u00a0?<br \/>\n<\/strong>P.S.\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Non, j\u2019ai \u0153uvr\u00e9 sur la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de Captur. Il n\u2019y aura pas de break Clio. The Clio IV still had a rather strong seductive power, so we followed in the footsteps of the Clio saga.<\/em>\u00a0&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>LIGNES\/auto : Isn&#8217;t it frustrating to do the same thing for a designer ?<\/strong><br \/>\nP.S.: &#8220;The challenge is different, we took everything from A to Z and not a single square centimetre of the bodywork was taken from the old one. We have brought maturity, more modernity and a better perceived quality. It was both a stylistic and technical work. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did the new platform help you in this work ?<\/strong><br \/>\nP.S.: &#8220;Yes, in its proportions, the car is a little different in the sense that the cab is set back, the front overhang is shorter than the rear overhang. The car is a little more &#8220;balanced&#8221; towards the rear, which gives it more dynamism. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>It seems to be a refined version of the previous generation ?<\/strong><br \/>\nP.S.: &#8220;The longer hood and simplified sides give more visual length. This is also reflected in the chrome-emphasized glass. The lines are generally tighter, resulting in a finer, lighter car. We are looking for the continuity of the lines, a &#8220;edge&#8221; that extends from the hood to the rear. The front expresses more width and visually the Clio V is better seated with a more assertive character. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>When were your first drawings on this project ?<\/strong><br \/>\nP.S.: &#8220;I released my first drawings in 2015 and in mid-2017, the design was completed to make way for industrialization. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>As always, there was a competition between designers ?<\/strong><br \/>\nP.S.: &#8220;In fact, we first worked on the design of what is called a &#8220;Vision&#8221; model, which was an ideal Clio, with proportions, spirit and few technical constraints to promote our vision of the next generation. From this model, there was a design competition. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>In this new organization of the design office (see here: <a href=\"http:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/?p=6963\">http:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/?p=6963<\/a>) where all designers see all the programs, has the Clio been inspired by other projects or is it an inspiration?<\/strong><br \/>\nP.S.: &#8220;In the model workshop, we saw the other projects but it is precisely so that each project benefits the whole team. But not necessarily and only in terms of style. Often, it is rather advances in the technical aspects of one project that benefit another.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now that the sedan is finished, you&#8217;re going to work on the station wagon silhouette ?<\/strong><br \/>\nP.S.: &#8220;No, I worked on the next generation of Captur. There will be no Clio break.
