Carlos Tavares (groupe PSA) est l&#8217;un des rares \u00e0 poser les bonnes questions. Quel sera r\u00e9ellement l&#8217;avenir de cette cha\u00eene de traction\u00a0? C\u2019est un objectif louable. Le premier mod\u00e8le sera la berline compacte I.D., qui sera produite \u00e0 partir de cette fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e 2019 dans l&#8217;usine de Zwickau, actuellement en cours de transformation. La plupart des sites Volkswagen en Allemagne sont impliqu\u00e9s dans le d\u00e9veloppement et la production des premi\u00e8res voitures \u00e9lectriques bas\u00e9es sur la plateforme MEB, y compris les sites de Volkswagen Group Components \u00e0 Braunschweig, Salzgitter et Kassel. Quelque 10 millions de v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 travers le Groupe seront bas\u00e9s sur cette plate-forme d\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re vague. La MEB est l&#8217;\u00e9pine dorsale \u00e9conomique et technologique de la voiture \u00e9lectrique pour tous.&#8221;<\/i>Mais depuis cette d\u00e9claration de 2018, les ambitions se sont \u00e9lev\u00e9es ! Dans l&#8217;ensemble du Groupe, jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 15 millions de v\u00e9hicules bas\u00e9s sur cette plateforme MEB seront finalement construits dans la premi\u00e8re vague, contre 10 millions de v\u00e9hicules selon les plans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents. D&#8217;ici 2023, la marque investira plus de 11 milliards d&#8217;euros dans l&#8217;e-mobilit\u00e9, la num\u00e9risation, la conduite autonome et les nouveaux services de mobilit\u00e9, dont plus de 9 milliards dans la famille ID et ses nombreuses silhouettes\u00a0: berline du segment \u00ab\u00a0C\u00a0\u00bb, crossover, monospace, berline du segment \u00ab\u00a0D\u00a0\u00bb et bient\u00f4t SUV du segment \u00ab\u00a0D\u00a0\u00bb. Dans moins d\u2019un an, la nouvelle I.D. ouvrira une nouvelle \u00e8re pour Volkswagen, comparable \u00e0 celle de la premi\u00e8re Coccinelle ou de la premi\u00e8re Golf. Nous nous pr\u00e9parons tr\u00e8s soigneusement \u00e0 cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement avec nos partenaires\u00a0\u00bb,<\/i>a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Thomas Ulbrich, membre du Directoire de la marque Volkswagen responsable de l&#8217;E-Mobility. <i>\u00ab\u00a0D&#8217;ici fin 2022, quatre marques du groupe vont produire 27 nouveaux mod\u00e8les bas\u00e9s sur la plateforme MEB dans le monde. Cette usine avec une longue histoire construit d\u00e9j\u00e0 les batteries pour l&#8217;e-up !, l&#8217;e-Golf et la Passat GTE 4 hybride plug-in. Braunschweig est aujourd&#8217;hui le site sp\u00e9cialiste de la batterie et dispose d&#8217;un vaste savoir-faire en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;\u00e9lectronique de puissance, de syst\u00e8mes de refroidissement de batterie et de gestion de logiciels. Un projet de v\u00e9hicule d\u00e9di\u00e9 est d\u00e9j\u00e0 en cours de planification. Volkswagen montre ainsi le potentiel assez \u00e9norme de sa plateforme, m\u00eame pour les petites s\u00e9ries comme avec l&#8217;I.D. BUGGY d\u00e9voil\u00e9 au Salon international de l&#8217;automobile de Gen\u00e8ve en mars dernier.<\/p>\n<p>Avec ses investissements lourds, Volkswagen sera \u00e0 m\u00eame de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande du march\u00e9 en cas de succ\u00e8s commercial de la voiture \u00e9lectrique. Dans le cas contraire, la m\u00e9vente d&#8217;un quart des futurs produits du groupe, 100% \u00e9lectriques, impacteront dramatiquement les comptes de l&#8217;Allemand. Pour PSA, ce serait le sc\u00e9nario inverse : en cas de succ\u00e8s du march\u00e9 100% \u00e9lectrique, les marques du groupe fran\u00e7ais ne seraient pr\u00eates que pour les segments B et C. This is a laudable objective. The first model will be the compact I.D. sedan, which will be produced from this end of 2019 in the Zwickau plant, currently undergoing conversion. By 2025 at the latest, the brand intends to sell 1 million electric cars per year worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4083 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/F-1024x540.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/F-1024x540.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/F-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/F-768x405.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/F-370x195.jpg 370w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/F-1040x548.jpg 1040w, https:\/\/lignesauto.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/F.jpg 2008w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With this new MEB platform, Volkswagen explained that &#8220;we are making the most of the opportunities offered by the electric car while achieving significant economies of scale. Some 10 million vehicles across the Group will be based on this platform from the first wave. The MEB is the economic and technological backbone of the electric car for all: &#8220;But since this declaration of 2018, ambitions have risen! Across the Group, up to 15 million vehicles based on this SEM platform will eventually be built in the first wave, compared to 10 million vehicles under previous plans. By 2023, the brand will invest more than \u20ac11 billion in e-mobility, digitisation, autonomous driving and new mobility services, including more than \u20ac9 billion in the ID family and its many silhouettes: C-segment sedan, crossover, minivan, D-segment sedan and soon SUV in D-segment. In less than a year, the new I.D. will open a new era for Volkswagen, comparable to that of the first Beetle or Golf. We are preparing very carefully for this event with our partners,&#8221; said Thomas Ulbrich, member of the Volkswagen Brand Management Board responsible for E-Mobility. &#8220;By the end of 2022, four of the group&#8217;s brands will produce 27 new models based on the MEB platform worldwide. It&#8217;s something unique.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0All members of the I.D. family are designed for fast charging. Thanks to rapid charging systems, the battery can be 80% charged in about 30 minutes thanks to an entirely new and significantly more powerful battery system developed by Volkswagen Group Components.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q8GzXf45KEk<\/p>\n<p>The Zwickau site will therefore begin its transition to all-electric power and will be helped in particular by the Braunschweig plant, which will manufacture the battery system. This factory with a long history is already building batteries for the e-up, e-Golf and Passat GTE 4 hybrid plug-in. Braunschweig is now the battery specialist site and has extensive know-how in power electronics, battery cooling systems and software management. The plant is currently being expanded to build up to half a million battery systems per year in the future.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_XyiqWtvnAY<\/p>\n<p>Finally, as the last step in this drive to make the most of these pharaonic investments, e.GO Mobile, based in Aachen, Germany, will be the first external partner in the world to use VW&#8217;s MEB electric platform to launch other electric vehicles in addition to the Volkswagen model range. A dedicated vehicle project is already being planned. Volkswagen thus shows the enormous potential of its platform, even for small series such as the I.D. Otherwise, the slump in a quarter of the group&#8217;s future products, 100% electrical, will have a dramatic impact on the German&#8217;s accounts. For PSA, it would be the opposite scenario: in the event of success of the 100% electric market, the French group&#8217;s brands would only be ready for segments B and C.
