DS automobiles today presents the new DS7, a restyling of the current model that mainly touches on the more modern infotainment, now borrowed from the DS4, and the arrival of a third plug-in hybrid version, the 360 E-TENSE 4×4 alongside the 225 and 300 hp.
On board, the upholstery has gone up another level to the point of excellence, with a new seamless, draped effect on the leather decorations on the dashboard and door panels. But the new front bumper is where the “Light Veil” of the LED light signature with four strips that combine with a fifth, brighter strip – which acts as an indicator – is the first of its kind in the automotive world. The new DS will go on sale in September.
THE LIGHT VEIL:
The DS7’s new light signature is directly inspired by that of the ASL concept car unveiled in 2020. It consists of five vertical LEDs, grouped together in a single element that is integrated into the bumper. This innovation eliminates the need for assembly, as there are no joints or gaps. It is based on a single polycarbonate block painted the same colour as the body (on the inside) with its five luminous windows laser-engraved from the inside.

CHANGES BETWEEN THE TWO GENERATIONS
A “LA PREMIÈRE” VERSION AT THE PEAK OF ELEGANCE AND PERFORMANCE
To mark the launch of the DS 7, a limited edition E-TENSE 4×4 360 “LA PREMIÈRE” will feature a gloss black front apron, black monograms and specific badges to accompany a gloss black exterior finish on the DS WINGS, grille, window surrounds and roof bars. The Basalt Black and Pearl Grey interiors will be offered in combination with six body colours: Lacquer Grey, Safir Blue, Pearl White, Black Pearl Nera, Platinum Grey and Crystal Pearl.
