Yesterday, we were talking about an urban electric motorcycle with the Carbogatto H7. Today, here is a road bike, still electric and very sensual. It is signed Romain Gauvin, the designer of the 19_19, the Citroën of the centenary.
Romain Gauvin works on Citroën design and is the author of the exterior design of the 19_19 concept car unveiled last year during the brand’s centenary celebrations. But like everyone else (well, almost everyone else…), he needs to clear his head. And to do this, football? jogging? TV-series sofa? reading? No: he creates, again and again…
He transports us today on two wheels, in a future a little less distant than that of the Citroën. He designs a 100% electric motorcycle, the “e-rossa”, which he brings into the Ducati range.
“My goal was to combine advanced technology with the pure fascination of driving. I wanted emotion and to design an electric motorcycle that was really desirable” he writes on his Behance page (see at the end of this post).
Desirable, it is. Even for a two-wheeler neophyte like here at LIGNES/auto! “I started playing with a carbon frame and a flowing sculpture in bright red to dress it up.” Volumes that all car enthusiasts will also appreciate.
Romain has managed to dress with sensuality a rather cold technology, where batteries and electric motor are carefully hidden while revealing just the right amount of technology, with details inspired by the aeronautical world.
“e-rossa” is customizable with different color schemes (fork, seat rim, etc).
The e-roosa is to be discovered on the page Behance of Romain Gauvin : https://www.behance.net/gallery/82508697/Ducati-e-rossa-monoposto?tracking_source=for_you_feed_activity
